The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music is comprised of two institutions with rich histories in training the finest artists, performers and musicians: the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. The VCA is located within the arts precinct at Southbank, in the heart of Melbourne’s artistic life. The Conservatorium is located across two campuses – Southbank and Parkville – and is the largest and most comprehensive music institution in Australia. We offer undergraduate, graduate and short course programs in an atmosphere which encourages creative risk taking. Our students benefit from regular cross-disciplinary collaboration, allowing artists, dancers, actors, theatre makers, filmmakers, animators, music theatre performers, production designers, directors, composers, writers and performing musicians to forge connections which will set them up for successful careers in their chosen field.
