Architectural education at UQ consists of a three-year undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Architectural Design) followed by a two-year postgraduate coursework degree (Master of Architecture). UQ courses meet the changing demands of the profession and make a positive contribution to the shaping of our built environment and culture with a focus on teaching architectural design through studio-based projects. Students participate in hands-on community-based projects. The undergraduate program applies knowledge and skills from supporting courses. Other key areas of study include architectural and environmental technology, history and theory, people environment studies, computer aided design and professional studies. Facilities include studios, workshops, an exhibition gallery, computer laboratory and library. Postgraduate research programs are also offered.
