As global pioneers of the creative industries concept, we are a world leader in creative practice, communication and design teaching and research, with extensive industry partnerships and a proven track record in growing the creative economy. QUT ranks first in Queensland and second in Australia as lead provider of degrees in both the architecture and building, and creative arts (including media) fields of education.
Be inspired by our internationally recognised academic staff and state-of-the-art spaces for learning, performing and creating. To enhance your employment prospects, you will have the opportunity to develop a unique combination of skill sets across creativity, entrepreneurship and technology, and to gain valuable experience through creative internships and real-world projects, both in Australia and overseas.
With leading-edge design and technology, our Creative Industries Precinct at Kelvin Grove campus, including an $88 million expansion in 2016, is now the most sophisticated and technically advanced creative space in Australia. Students have access to world-class production, performance, and multimedia facilities including: dance, drama, visual arts and music studio spaces, performance and exhibition venues, digital facilities, and collaborative work and social spaces. The Creative Lab, Design Lab, Digital Media Research Centre and QUT Creative Enterprise Australia are also located here, providing a hub for research, entrepreneurial innovation and support for industry and start-ups. The precinct also hosts local, national and international productions, exhibitions and events that showcase emerging digital and new media work, multimedia performances, screenings, festivals and seminars.
